Jon joined Fiscale September 2019, with the establishment of the Fiscale Silverstone office. His territory covers the postcodes MK/NN/OX/HP. However, Jon (like our other Partners), does cover the wider UK. For Jon, this is mainly through the manufacturing network, forged during his time working as a technical machinery sales and asset finance consultant.
An introduction to Jon:
With a keen interest in, and backed up with a BA in Business, Jon joins us with a wealth of experience earned over a decade working within the manufacturing sector.
Well-travelled, Jon has spent time as a Keycamp Representative in the south of France, before becoming a Tennis Coach at a prestigious country club in Greenwich Connecticut USA.
Jon believes that he has found his calling as an R&D Tax Credit consultant, as he can utilise all of his past experience in helping to identify the hidden R&D taking place within industry. Being able to speak the language of his manufacturing clients certainly helps, as with many of the technical sectors.
‘I believe my background in sales/technical roles, perfectly complements the wider Fiscale team.
My ability to speak the language of my manufacturing clients, machines, tooling, software and processes, allows me to really explore their potential R&D activities and uncertainties. More importantly, justify what is and indeed what isn’t R&D, to provide a strong narrative to evidence this.
This technical element, in conjunction with our experienced Fiscale chartered tax team (who can identify the relevant expenditure and crunch the all-important numbers), really helps to maximise our clients’ potential tax credit returns.
As a result, this enables them to re-invest more back into their business, to help fund further development and growth. Ultimately, this is one of the main reasons why the HMRC R&D Tax Credits initiative exists!
Never a dull day as an R&D Tax Consultant!
